Home repair

I took the Cory, Michael and Rick to Mom's house yesterday to work around the house. Michael and Rick had a good time cutting, hacking and trimming the bushes on the East side of the rumpus room. You can actually walk by them to Diane's house without the huge detour.

Cory, meanwhile, fixed the lights in the family room and the doorbell. His work was more cerebral, but he also had to climb through the atic to pull a wire from the switch box to the light box in the family room. I'm sure glad he is young and willing to do that. It doesn't sound like fun to me.

Please thank the boys for all the hard work! It sure has been nice to have them handle so many of the projects that have come up the past few years. Dahl would be proud to know that his grandsons are so handy with the plumbing and electrical work in addition to taking such good care of his yard.

Cory stayed up in the attic for about 5 hours, till the job was done. What a worker.

I'm glad Grandma's got some willing and generous grandsons nearby, unlike certain good-for-nothing granddaughters on the other side of the country :)

Have toolbelt, will travel. Actually, all the tools are still there, ready for use.
