Dahlism:
Most people can bear
adversity. But if you
wish to know what a
man really is,
give him power.

Gabe takes a swing:
So what do you do with all those apples that didn't make it into the applesauce canning project, but are getting too old to eat fresh? Baseball?? Trust me, the boys didn't ask first. I am still making fruit shakes with them....

November Birthdays at the Barnes

November brings two birthdays to the family: Luke (19) and Craig (27). Here are some shots of the family around the table doing what we do best - eating one of David's wonderful meals!

Trevor and Heidi - countdown for them with little Mr. coming in December.

Grant and Brittany - Britt is our consummate clothes designer - check out her
blog for the latest in accessorizing with pin- on flowers.

The Family - EATING!

Craig blows out the candle (Hmm, did he wish for a new house? YES, they will be moving in before Jr. Miss arrives in December)

Luke gets a drum roll before blowing his birthday candle....

Family Reunion 2010

I reserved two houses on the golf course at Thanksgiving Point for Thursday July 29th until Sunday August 1st. They are two doors away from each other, they are both the same, they each have 4 bedrooms and a bunk area. Here is a link http://www.vrbo.com/194657#page-top-most . That should be enough for everyone but if not there is a hotel right by the houses.
Here are some of the ideas of what we will be doing. If anyone has any other suggestions let us know. One day we will be going to Seven Peaks water park http://www.sevenpeaks.com/ , we will be renting a pavilion there.
On Friday morning we are going to try and get tickets for the Timpanogos Cave http://www.nps.gov/tica/index.htm . Please look at the link for the cave and decide if you would like to go, it's a pretty steep hike and no strollers are allowed. The hike would start at 7:30 AM and it will take 3 hours for the hike and tour of the cave. Reservations can only be made 30 days in advance so I will put it on my calendar. Each tour only takes 20 people. The rest of us will be meeting at a park nearby and doing some easy hiking and then we will all meet together for lunch at the park.
The Hale theater is playing " 110 In The Shade" which is the same story as the 1956 movie " Rainmaker" starring Katharine Hepburn. We will also see what's playing at Sundance. And do one of those one night.
We will be renting a pavilion at a local park for a picnic and sports and games one of the days.
Everyone will take care of their own breakfasts. Lunches will be mostly picnic fare. One dinner will be a BBQ at Traci's house, one will be at Seven Peaks and one will be a potluck.
Hopefully everyone will be able to stay and come to church with us. Our sacrament starts at 11 AM. It's always nice to go to church as a family if you can make it.
So those are our ideas but like I said if you have any other thoughts or suggestions let us know.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone in July.
Rex and Rebecca
P.S. I didn't have all your children's email addresses so please forward this on to them.
